The TRUMPF 5 year warranty is activated when you register the tool with TRUMPF. We know that this can sometimes be a hassle, even when it is really simple to do.
To make it easier, you should find a QR code inside every tool purchase. When sacnned, this takes you directly to the form on TRUMPF's website where you can register for the warranty.
* The TPC165 comes with a 3 year warranty automatically however it cannot be extended to the 5 year warranty. If you cut mineral wool with the tool then the 3 year warranty automatically reverts to a 1 year warranty.
